Consortium Holdings to open new Persian-style bar and restaurant in San Diego’s North Park

Hospitality group Consortium Holdings (Born & Raised, Underbelly) is in the process of launching several new dining concepts in the San Diego area, including the opening of the 5,000-square-foot Leila Persian Bar and Restaurant in North Park.

Consortium Holdings has big plans for a busy 2023. In addition to opening eight new bars and restaurants at San Diego’s historic The Lafayette, Swim Club & Bungalows, the company is in the process of renovating the Starlite bar and restaurant in San Diego’s Middletown neighborhood. opens a new bar and restaurant as part of its La Avenida Inn in Coronado, and is building a bakery and eatery at the mall at 3401 Adams Avenue in Normal Heights.

With the Lafayette and Starlite hotels reopening later this year, Consortium Holdings will look to the Leila restaurant on 30th Street in the heart of San Diego’s vibrant North Park neighborhood. At Leila, expect a Middle Eastern, Lebanese and Persian-inspired fusion menu prepared in an open kitchen under the guidance of Consortium’s new Culinary Director Perfecte Rocher. The central bar will focus on Middle Eastern spirits, including Arah sagi, a raisin-based spirit known as Iranian moonshine or “Persian vodka,” and Arak, a distilled Levantine spirit from the aniseed drink family.
