According to the crash report, while the driver was driving the pickup truck southbound on Pine Street, the military believes he missed a curve and veered off the road to the right, flying into the air and crashing into a ditch.
According to police, the man died at the scene.
His passenger, another 30-year-old man from Cacao, was hospitalized with serious injuries; the report said he was the only passenger in the pickup who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
FHP is still investigating.
