City of Seaside Unveils Completed Firehouse Mural

Seaside, Calif. (KION-TV) — Seaside City leaders met Thursday morning to unveil a freshly painted mural at the Seaside fire station.

This 35′ x 9′ mural is located at the Firehouse’s premiere wall, located at 1635 Broadway Avenue.

“The City of Seaside Public Arts Program was created to enhance the cultural and aesthetic quality of life for Seaside residents,” the city said.

Local artist La Neta Murals was selected from a poll of 13 applicants.

The Commission on Art and History of the Primorsky City, together with city employees, reviewed the applications and made their choice in October 2022. The city council approved the final draft at its regular meeting on February 16, 2023.

The mural then began working on Sunday, February 19, 2023.
