City of San Angelo Schedules City Hall Meeting to Discuss Facilities Availability

The City will upgrade the audio and video components in Council Chambers to better record and broadcast meetings.

SAN ANGELO, Texas. The City of San Angelo will hold a city hall public meeting to gather information about the accessibility of city facilities, programs, and services in accordance with the federal Americans with Disabilities Act.

The meeting will take place from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, March 21, in Council Chambers at the McNease Convention Center, 501 Rio Concho Dr.

According to a COSA press release, the meeting will focus on two topics: audio and visual components in Council Chambers, and programs and services for parks and recreation.

The City will upgrade the audio and video components in Council Chambers to better record and broadcast meetings. During a meeting at City Hall, staff will share plans for the room and solicit the public’s input on the project, keeping in mind how best to accommodate people with disabilities.

The meeting will also discuss the availability of programs and services for parks and recreation areas. Staff will provide information about current programs and services and then solicit public feedback and suggestions for improvements that can be made to make programs more accessible to all citizens.

Meetings on other aspects of City programs and services will be held at a later date.
