The chief executive of the city of Austin is potentially on the verge of ruin after a winter storm last week left hundreds of thousands of households without power for several days, and residents are desperate for information on when their power will be restored.

The Austin City Council will assess City Manager Spencer Kronk’s employment during a meeting Thursday, Austin Mayor Kirk Watson said Monday morning. The emergency center received the support of three council members – Alison Alter, Chito Vela and Vanessa Fuentes.

“To all our Austin residents who are furious about the ongoing power outage, you are right,” Watson said. on twitter. “There must be responsibility.”
