The competition was attended by students from 4th to 8th grades in the hope of reaching the finals in Houston.

SAN ANTONIO. Students from all over San Antonio took part in the Lego robotics competition on Saturday.

Teams from over 35 different Northside ISD elementary and middle schools competed for a chance to advance in the FIRST Lego League Challenge.

The children were of different ages: from 4th graders to 8th graders.

Not only is this a fun activity for kids, but it also teaches important skills at the same time.

Competitions help children develop teamwork skills, creativity and even be able to program robots.

These kids will be the engineers of our future.
