Commenting on the announcement, Greg Worch, head of revenue, said: “Companies in all sectors are recognizing the need to orchestrate payments to increase their scale. We are excited to partner with MIKROE and are confident that our Payment Orchestration Platform will speed up their access to payment systems in the countries where they operate and diversify currency risk.”

Marko Jovanovic, Head of IT at MICROE, added: “Despite the difficult times for many people and companies, we continued to ship around the world, producing one new product per day and successfully growing our business. Now is the time to join forces with CellPoint Digital. His experience and innovative platform will drive efficiency and we have a long-term opportunity to expand our potential payment partners across countries.”

The partnership comes after 451 Research’s “Voice of Enterprise” surveys show that 67% of merchants see payments as a strategic area for their company, rising to 78% for most digital businesses.

The focus on transforming payment processes and technology continues to grow, with 61% of merchants agreeing that a modern payment infrastructure will significantly transform their business over the next three years.
