Brain-Computer Interfaces Precision Neuroscience Receives $41M or More in Digital Health Funding

New York-based brain-computer interface company Precision Neuroscience Corporation closed $41 million in Series B funding, bringing the company’s total fundraising to $53 million.

FoRepont Capital Partners led the round with Alumni Ventures, Draper Associates, Mubadala Capital and re.Mind Capital. Existing investors Steadview Capital and B Capital Group also contributed.

Precision will use the funds to expand its team and further develop the product. The company plans to seek FDA regulatory advice in the coming months.

Atomic AI, a technology-driven drug development biotechnology company, launched a $35 million Series A round led by Playground Global, bringing the company’s total fundraising to $42 million.

The round also included Factory HQ, 8VC, Greylock, AME Cloud Ventures, NotBoring, and angel investors, including former GitHub CEO Nat Friedman, Curai CEO Neil Khosla Doug Mor, and UC Berkeley professor and Arc Institute co-founder Patrick Hsu.

The company aims to create RNA-targeting molecules and RNA-based drugs and tools using machine learning. models based on RNA structural datasets and large-scale in-house experimental biological studies in laboratories.

San Francisco-based lifestyle company Mighty Health, offering exercise, nutrition and daily health care programs for people aged 50 and over, has received $7.6 million in funding co-led by Will Ventures and GFT Ventures.

AARP also entered the round with Immad Akhund, CEO of Mercury, a startup banking company; Baselayer Ventures, a strategic arm of VF Corporation; Hyper, an accelerator program; and Z Venture Capital, the strategic venture arm of messaging app LINE. Existing investors also contributed to the round.

The funding will be used to launch several chronic disease programs and expand strategic partnerships.

Lithuanian company Oxipit, which offers artificial intelligence-enabled medical imaging tools, has received $4.9 million in funding from Taiwania Capital, Coinvest Capital and Practica Capital, with the participation of business angels.

ChestLink’s application generates patient X-ray reports that show no abnormalities. Oxipit also offers a virtual assistant to the radiologist called Oxipit Quality, which compares radiological reports and diagnostic images to determine if anything was missing from the report.

The company will use the funds to further develop its AI-based applications and expand market access in new geographies, with a focus on the UK market.


MedCrypt, a cybersecurity provider to medical device manufacturers, extended its Series B funding round after receiving additional funding from Dexcom Ventures, bringing the company’s total fundraising to $36.4 million.

The renewal occurs after the company has received $25 million in Series B funding in November, bringing the company’s total fundraising to that date to $34.4 million.

Additional funds from the expansion will be used to expand the MedCrypt engineering team.
