Body found floating in water at Long Island Wharf: Police

According to police, the body of a man was found floating in the water near the pier on Long Island.
Police said the body was found just after 8:30 a.m. at Safe Harbor Pier along Shore Road in Glen Cove. The 68-year-old man was pronounced dead two hours later on Monday morning, Nassau County police said.
The man’s name is not immediately released, and it is not clear if his death was considered criminal in nature.
The investigation is ongoing.
