Bluebird network makes the University of Central Missouri the primary campus service provider

Bluebird Network, a communications infrastructure provider and operator of two data centers and over 11,000 miles of fiber, is proud to announce a successful partnership with the University of Central Missouri as the university’s primary campus and remote internet service provider.

The Bluebird Network data centers and digital infrastructure enable the University of Central Missouri to store large amounts of university data, keep the campus connected, and interconnect all remote sites.

“For years, we struggled to find a provider that could connect all of our remote sites,” says Mark Schlueter, Network Services Manager, University of Central Missouri. “Bluebird was able to connect remote sites and do it at a minimal cost. Their prices are very comparable, their infrastructure is very reliable and the people are a pleasure to work with.”

In addition to fiber optic communications, data centers are also an important element of the University’s digital infrastructure strategy.

“Data centers are very important in our environment,” says Schlueter. “They are the core of our server farm and the core of our routing and switching. It’s what every other building and every service on campus connects to.”

Bluebird is well known for its customer service and personal touch, and Schlueter shares those sentiments.

“Even if it’s not their responsibility, they take it and run away,” he says. “They spend time on the phone and bring people A, B or C, so I don’t have to do that, which is very nice. They listen to my needs. They give me viable options and they always quote cost and installation options right away.”

“Bluebird is very forward-thinking, and forward-thinking is what it takes to be successful,” he says. “I look forward to relying on their visionary thinking.”
