Black History Month Parade in San Francisco’s Bayview District

On Saturday, people took to the parade and celebration of Black History Month in the Bayview area of ​​San Francisco.

Classic cars and performers drove down Third Street.

“Since 2018, they have been holding this parade as an opportunity for us to come together and celebrate our history,” said San Francisco Mayor London Breed.

Breed joined in the celebration and spoke to the NBC Bay Area about the development of the Bayview area.

“We have about 18 more enterprises that have opened in the last two years. So the Dream Keeper initiative not only invested in this parade and other events, but also in the business, helping with the down payment,” she said.
