Better Buzz Coffee Roasters is set to open its newest San Diego location in Coronado

Beloved coffee shop Better Buzz Coffee Roasters from San Diego will open its 16th location this year at La Avenida Plaza in Coronado.

Started as a coffee cart by then-college students Tim Langdon and Stephanie Garden in 2002, Better Buzz Coffee Roasters opened its first cafe at 1909 Garnet Avenue in Pacific Beach in 2007. The company has grown significantly over the past 16 years and now has several locations in Pacific Beach as well as branches in Point Loma, Mission Beach, Encinitas, Escondido, San Marcos, La Jolla, Miramar, Mira Mesa, Center in the Fashion Valley mall in Mission Valley, its flagship cafe and roastery in Hillcrest, and cafes in Temecula and Menifee, California.

The newest Better Buzz will move to a 2,000-square-foot space at La Avenida Plaza in downtown Coronado, which will also house a branch of Fox Restaurant Concepts’ Mexican restaurant Blanco Tacos + Tequila, owned by The Cheesecake Factory. As with other locations, the new Better Buzz will offer a menu of coffees and espresso drinks, including drip coffees and cold drinks, as well as an organic smoothie lineup and an expanded breakfast and lunch menu with avocado toast, grilled sandwiches, paninis . , muffins, cookies, bagels and various acai bowls. Better Buzz classics include turkey pesto, bacon ciabatta, ham and cheese croissant and Caprese sandwiches, as well as consumer favorites such as Best Drink Ever and Mocha Buzz.
