Bay Area, California Sees Significant Improvement in Drought Situation
California continues to see a significant improvement in drought conditions as 12 storms swept through the state in 22 days.
Prior to the parade of storms, 35% of the state was in severe drought and 7% was in exceptional drought.
At the time of Thursday’s drought monitoring update, there was no longer an extreme or exceptional drought. Most of the Bay Area remains in moderate drought.
Meteorologist Kari Hall considers calmer weather with low temperatures in the microclimate forecast.
