Authorities say an HCSO sergeant was injured in a major crash involving a possibly wrong driver on the HOV North Freeway lane.

HARRIS COUNTY – According to authorities, a Harris County Sheriff’s Sergeant was injured in a major crash involving a driver who may have been driving in the oncoming lane of I-45 North Freeway HOV.
According to deputiesThe accident happened early Sunday morning.
Deputies said the sergeant was on his way to work in the HOV lane when he collided with another driver who may have been driving in the wrong direction.
The sergeant was taken to an area hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez told KPRC 2 that the sergeant is undergoing evaluation and is expected to be released later Sunday.
HOV Lane on North Highway remains closed while METRO police officers investigate the accident.
