Austin, Texas – Austin Energy says it is preparing for severe weather on Thursday.

With wind gusts up to 50 mph possible, trees that were damaged in last month’s ice storm could cause power outages again if limbs and branches connect to power lines.

Austin Energy says it is preparing crews to respond.
