Austin Community College Announces 50% Off Line Worker Program

Austin, Texas – Austin Community College (ACC) has announced that it will offer a 50% discount on its line worker program following the recent ice storm.

The ACC Line Worker Certification Program provides hands-on experience and training for a solid foundation for a career in the utility industry. The program can be completed in as little as six weeks.

As the workforce ages and Central Texas continues to skyrocket, the shortage of line workers continues to grow. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that demand for line workers will grow by more than 8% over the next four years.

“ACC continues to strive to be flexible to meet the needs of the region. Registration is currently open for the next intake starting in April. The college will expand and add additional offerings as needed,” the college said.
