At least five people were injured in a collision between a plane and a bus at Los Angeles International Airport.
A collision between a passenger bus and a commercial plane on the runway of Los Angeles International Airport late Friday left several people injured, officials said.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call to LAX around 10 p.m. where they found at least five people injured in the crash. The four were then taken to an area hospital, FOX 11 Los Angeles reported.
Authorities said the crash happened at low speed while an empty American Airlines A321 was being towed away from the gate.
“A plane being towed tonight from the gate to the parking lot collided with a shuttle bus, resulting in injuries to about 5 people. We thank our partners @LAFD for their prompt response and assistance to passengers from the bus. Other LAX operations remain normal,” LAX said in a statement.
