At least 6 slashed overnight in separate NYC attacks

At least six people were slashed in separate attacks in the Big Apple overnight — with all but one of the assaults happening in Midtown, and at least two of them appearing unprovoked and linked to each other, cops said.

The most recent unprovoked attack happened just after 3 a.m. as a 50-year-old man left the 42nd Street-Port Authority subway station at West 40th Street and Eighth Avenue, cops said.

The victim was on the stairs when a stranger, believed to be in his 20s, slashed the victim without warning and fled, authorities said.

The victim was taken to an unspecified hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, cops said.

Police believe the same suspect struck around 9:15 p.m. on Eighth Avenue near West 39th Street, authorities said.

A 41-year-old male was slashed on the left side of his face, and taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

Police also believe this attack was unprovoked.

The suspect had not been caught by the late morning, cops said.

Several blocks north, a 32-year-old man was slashed in the stomach and arm, and a 36-year-old man waS knifed on his arm around 12:30 a.m., cops said.

Both men were taken to Bellevue and are expected to survive, authorities said.

Two suspects, described as males in their 30s — one wearing a red shirt and the other a white shirt — fled north on Eighth Avenue.

About 10 minutes earlier, another 41-year-old man was slashed in the face at West 42nd Street and Eighth Avenue, authorities said.

The three male suspects fled in a yellow cab, cops said.

The motive for that attack is unclear.

In Brooklyn, a 27-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was slashed on the neck around 3:30 a.m. at the corner of Moore Street and Humboldt Avenue, on the grounds of NYCHA’s John F. Hylan Houses, authorities said.

He was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center in critical condition, cops said.

The attacker is believed to be a stranger to the victim, and the motive is unclear, police said.

Cops say the suspect had a dark complexion and wore all black.
