Armed robbers steal $72K in jewelry outside Diamond District store: cops

Two crooks robbed three people of about $72,000 worth of jewelry and watches at gunpoint as they left a Diamond District store Monday night, cops said.

The victims were walking out of the store, located at 71 West 47th Street near Fifth Avenue, around 7:50 p.m. when two male suspects approached them, flashed guns and demanded their belongings, authorities said.

The pair left with the pricey stash, fleeing in a car, police said.

No arrests have been made.

It was not immediately clear whether the victims were employees or customers of the jewelry store.

They left the business together, but it’s unclear whether they are known to each other.

The woman is from New Jersey and the two men are from Queens, cops said.

It was not immediately clear what business the victims were coming from, as the commercial building is home to multiple jewelry stores.
