Anti-Semite who brutally attacked three Jews in New York boasted that he “did not even see the prison cell”, learns his fate

The violent anti-Semite and staunch Palestinian supporter was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison on Friday for three hate-motivated attacks on Jews in one year in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Manhattan Federal Court Judge Denise Kot has sentenced Staten Islander Saada Masood, saying she believes he is a “deeply angry and troubled man.”

Judge Kote told Masoud that his brutal attacks were “a betrayal of your family and a betrayal of what you tell me about your personal values.”

Massoud, 29, pleaded guilty in November to three assaults on hate crime charges.

On May 19, 2021, Massoud and others corresponded in an encrypted Signal message outlining plans to disrupt a pro-Israel demonstration in Manhattan the next day.

“I beat the crap out of three Zionist[s] yesterday and didn’t even see the prison cell,” Massoud wrote in a chat, according to the sentencing application filed by the prosecutor’s office in this case.

He added: “HARD!! ONLY VIOLENCE… IN PALESTINE THEY WISH THEY COULD HAVE A ZIONIST AND NOT BE TESTED TO DEATH. WE CAN!!

The next day, during a protest in Midtown, Massoud was confronted by a demonstrator wearing a large Star of David and asked, “Are you fucking Jewish?”

He then punched the man in the face.

Less than two weeks later, Massoud and his accomplice drove past the Brooklyn home of Hesha Tischler, a conservative provocateur and outspoken Jewish activist, and spotted him sitting in a car.

“We know where you live, we will get you,” Massoud told Tishler, the prosecutor’s office writes.

In response, Tishler got out of the car and tried to film the couple, but Massoud knocked the phone out of his hands and his assistant punched Tishler in the face.

In the latest attack in April 2022, Massoud beat up Matt Greenman at a pro-Palestinian march in Midtown after Greenman showed up wearing a raincoat with an Israeli flag.

Massoud beat Greenman and dragged him face down the sidewalk, resulting in a black eye and severe facial swelling.

The anti-Israeli fanatic made a number of anti-Semitic remarks after his arrest, telling one of the detectives who arrested him, “All this because of one Jew?”

The US Attorney’s Office investigator also heard him say that he did not want any “Greenbergs” as a lawyer.

He also refused to meet with a detention facility officer named “Rotman”, as a result of which he was thrown into prison before he pleaded guilty.

Tishler spoke at Friday’s hearing and called Massoud an “evil man” but told him from the podium in the courtroom: “I’m not afraid of you. I am not afraid of evil.”

In brief remarks, Massoud apologized to the three victims and lamented that he went to protests, where he said his anger “blew out”.

“I learned this lesson at the expense of three people,” he said.

Massoud’s lawyer, Ridaya Trivedi, argued that the attacks came at a tense moment between Israel and Palestine, and prosecutors were trying to “erasure a lot of extremely important contexts.”
