Andrew Cuomo goes motor boat shopping after making $5.1 million from COVID book

Andrew Cuomo is into luxury boat shopping after he made $5.1 million from a COVID-19 book deal that came amid a staggering wave of daily deaths from the virus in nursing homes and adult care facilities.

The scandal-hit ex-New York governor who was busy writing about the pandemic while he was supposed to be fighting it in 2020 was filmed last week merrily browsing Manhattan’s expensive motorboats, as shown footage posted on his YouTube channel.

A 65-year-old police officer attends a New York boat show at the Javits Center, fawning over expensive water toys with money earned on the backs of dying New Yorkers.

Elegantly dressed in a black suit, Cuomo shows it off as jazzy, upbeat music plays in the background.

“1200 horsepower,” he shouts in a video posted on January 26, pointing at a powerful outboard engine.

Cuomo then points to an expensive boat built in upstate New York, stating that the local brands really back his boat.

Steiger Kraft. Made in New York. So what’s my favorite? Cooler craftsmanship,” he says with a smirk as the footage shows.

Cuomo, who allegedly hired staff to work on his self-praise memoir about the pandemic as an estimated 1,000 New Yorkers died daily from the virus, seemed to know the ins and outs of a boat show that attracts the super-rich and other big spenders.

“If you’re wondering what to get me for Christmas, here it is, in this color,” Cuomo says, pointing to another sparkling vessel.

According to a source who said the former governor attended the boat show every year, he ended up not buying anything.

At the start of the pandemic, Cuomo won a lucrative $5.12 million memoir deal despite his controversial directing nursing homes to admit COVID patients, resulting in the deaths of thousands of New Yorkers.

The American Crisis: Lessons in Leadership Amid the COVID-19 Pandemic was released in October 2020 as the public health crisis raged.

The boat lover later found himself in a creek without a paddle when a flurry of sexual harassment allegations hit him, leading to his resignation in August 2021.
