An Orlando woman is injured and a 2-year-old child dies in a rear-end crash in Osceola County, FHP reports.

COUNTY COUNTY, Florida. — According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a two-year-old boy died in a rear-end crash early Saturday at Four Corners.

According to police, the accident happened at 00:26 on Westside Boulevard on Funi Steed Road.

According to the accident report, the 2-year-old was a passenger in a van that was driving north – approaching Funie Steed Road – a 29-year-old woman from Orlando.

The servicemen reported that, while driving on the outer lane of Westside Boulevard, the front of the van hit the rear of a passenger bus, which stopped in front of it at the four-way intersection with Funey Steed Road.

According to the FHP, the woman was treated for minor injuries and the boy was pronounced dead in the hospital. Police believe the child was in a forward-facing car seat, the report said.

The driver of the bus, in which, according to security forces, there were no passengers at that moment, was not injured and remained at the scene.

FHP is still investigating the accident.
