An Orlando woman has died in a rear-end collision with an SUV on State Route 429 in Orange County, FHP reports.

ORANGE COUNTY, Florida. A 26-year-old Orlando woman died after the car she was in stopped on state road 429, blocking the outer lane, and was hit from behind by an SUV late Friday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to the military, the accident occurred in a southerly direction at 23:00 south of the 10 mile mark (Seidel Road).

According to the accident report, the sedan carrying the Orlando woman broke down due to being involved in another collision about 10 minutes prior.

After the SUV collided with the sedan, the Orlando woman was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the SUV, a 35-year-old man from Austin, Texas, was hospitalized with minor injuries, the report said. its passenger also suffered minor injuries, but the 30-year-old Austin woman was not flown in for treatment, the military said.

FHP is still investigating.
