An earthquake of magnitude 3.0 struck near Hermli

HERMLEY, Texas. The USGS reported a magnitude 3.0 earthquake on Friday afternoon.

The quake struck 9.94 miles northeast of Hermley in Scarry County, southeast of Lubbock, according to the USGS.

Just over an hour ago Friday, a 3.5 magnitude quake was recorded in roughly the same area, and earlier in the day, the USGS reported a 2.5 magnitude quake.
