HOUSTON. A former Norfolk State University student who has been missing for almost three weeks was found Sunday at a homeless shelter in Houston.
Keith Anderson, 18, was found safe in the afternoon, according to his mom’s Facebook post. He was initially reported missing on January 29 after she drove him to classes at NSU.
Mesha Anderson said his disappearance had an impact on the family.
“I have other children here, he has brothers and sisters. We don’t get anything good at all,” Mesha said. “I can’t put into words what these ladies are doing for me and what everyone in the community is doing for me. These are friends, family, old colleagues, new colleagues.”
Norfolk police said Keith was last seen on the NSU campus on the 29th, but was spotted at a 7-Eleven store on February 4th.
According to Mesha, Keith was found in a homeless shelter after someone saw his story on the news. She also told WTKR in Virginia that Keith took the bus to Houston and that they don’t have family here.
