An 11-year-old boy ran away from home in fear of an 18-year-old suspect, the sheriff’s office said.

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Florida — An 18-year-old man faces multiple felony charges related to the robbery of an 11-year-old boy who said he ran away from his home in Guildford in fear of a suspect, the Indian River Sheriff’s Office said. Tuesday.

On Monday, Agenel Lumenes was charged with armed robbery with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and grand larceny of a firearm, and his arraignment is scheduled for March 23.

In the area where he was detained, another 18-year-old man, Nicholas Shaw, was found with two stolen pistols.

The Facebook post does not say if they were accomplices.

On Friday, the sheriff’s office received a report that an 11-year-old boy was missing. After a search, he was found near the house.

During the investigation, the police found that he had fled because he was afraid for his life after being threatened and robbed.

According to the deputies, the boy said that he was confronted near his apartment. According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect pulled up his shirt, showed the boy the gun, and told him, “Go get your mother’s gun.”

The boy took out a gun and gave it to him as ordered.

Deputies and detectives focused their search on Lumenes, who was on probation and wore an ankle monitor. His probation officer provided Lumenes’ GPS coordinates.

In this area, Shaw immediately ran away with a blue bag when he was called by detectives.

K9 Zeke found a bag containing three pistols, two of which were later revealed to have been stolen.

Shaw was arrested and taken into custody and charged with carrying a concealed firearm and resisting arrest without using violence.

Lumenes was later found hiding in a nearby residence at the Orangewood Park Apartments.
