Abilene residence damaged by building fire

ABILEN, Texas. The Abilene Fire Department responded to a building fire on February 4 at an apartment building on Gays Way, AFD said.

Residents of the 3300 block down the street were inside the house when the fire started, but they managed to get out unharmed.

When the AFD arrived, the apartment building’s garage was filled with smoke due to an extension cord with a lot of plugs.

The fire was quickly extinguished and did not spread to the rest of the house.

However, the resulting damage is estimated at $10,000.
