A tour of the Northwood Hills Historic Home gives visitors an insight into the area’s rich history.

WEST PALM BEACH, Florida. The West Palm Beach Historic District is bringing back an event that’s been decades.

For the first time in 14 years, the Northwood Hills Home Tour returns on February 4 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Northwood Hills has a rich history dating back to 1884. This was the first mango garden in the United States.

However, what makes it truly unique is the combination of architecture. In the 50s, it became one of the best neighborhoods in West Palm Beach, where you could see unique houses instead of formulaic houses.

Now the houses greet the public to show how the beauty has been preserved.

“Most people who come to our neighborhood say they’ve never been here before, they didn’t know it existed,” said Northwood Hills Borough President Elizabeth Bridges. “It’s such a charming area with hills and different architecture and everyone who comes just thinks it’s special.”

The walking tour costs $50. Click here to get tickets.
