A small plane caught fire at DeLand Airport before takeoff, officials say.

DELAND, Florida. — A small plane caught fire at DeLand Municipal Airport on Tuesday, according to firefighters.

The Deland Fire Department said units responded to the fire around 4:30 p.m. and were able to quickly extinguish the fire.

Airport officials told rescuers that the plane was ready to take off when the fire broke out, according to a Twitter post.

No one was hurt, the cause of the fire is not known.
