A man walking near Union Square Park in New York was stabbed in an unprovoked attack.
Police said Tuesday that a man walking near Manhattan’s Union Square Park was stabbed in an unprovoked attack by a stranger.
Police have released surveillance footage of the suspect and are asking the public for help in identifying and searching for him.
The 35-year-old victim was shot in the back on Union Square West near W. 15th Street around 9:40 am Monday, police said.
The assailant ran east along E. 16th Street without a word.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
