A man fell out of a building in New York as a result of an accidental fall: police
Police said an unidentified person crashed out of an apartment building on the Upper West Side on Monday morning in what appeared to be a tragic accident.
Police said the male victim was found on the roof of the first floor lobby of a building on West Avenue near West 88th Street around 7 a.m. with “injuries consistent with a fall from high ground.”
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
By noon, police said the fall was accidental.
A man who lives in the building said his wife noticed the body wearing pink pajama bottoms and a white top when she opened the window.
The couple called 911 and the police arrived minutes later.
“The woman who was taken to the roof to identify the body was crying very loudly,” said a neighbor.
Police did not release the age of the victim, who had not been identified by noon.
