On Monday, police said an elderly man found dead in his Brooklyn apartment last week had been killed.

Donald Wallace, 75, was found unconscious and unconscious in his West 23rd Street apartment at the NYCHA Carey Gardens complex in Coney Island after police answered an emergency call around 5:20 p.m. Thursday, authorities said. .
