A 2-year-old child in intensive care, an Orlando woman, died in a crash in Orlo Vista, according to FHP.

ORANGE COUNTY, Florida. – A driver fled in a crash on Saturday in Orlo Vista that involved another vehicle and two pedestrians – a 29-year-old Orlando woman who suffered fatal injuries and a 2-year-old boy who is now in critical condition – according to the traffic police Florida Patrol. .

The accident occurred at 8:50 pm on W. Colonial Drive near Powers Drive, when a woman and a child crossed the Colonial southbound outside the crosswalk, the military said.

According to the FHP, the woman and child were initially hit in an eastbound inner lane by a sedan driven by a 39-year-old man from Orlando. After that, a second vehicle, described only as a dark-colored sedan, reportedly hit the woman and fled the scene east on Colonial Drive, the military said.

The woman was taken to Orlando Central Health Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, according to the FHP. The boy, who has not been identified at the time of this report, has been taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital and is in critical condition in the intensive care unit, the military said.
