A 15-year-old girl is accused of killing a man in a burning New York apartment

A 15-year-old girl was arrested on murder and arson charges in connection with the January death of a 27-year-old man whose body was discovered after firefighters put out a deliberate fire in the Bronx, investigators said.

The girl’s name was not immediately released on Tuesday due to her age.

She is charged with assault, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief in addition to more serious murder and arson charges in the January 29 fire at an Evergreen Avenue apartment building, according to the NYPD.

The victim in this case, Abdukarim Sakolli, lived at the address where he was found dead on that January morning. His case was ruled a murder.
