HOUSTON “A woman died after she was hit by a car in Alief on Friday,” Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said.
The deputies were called in connection with the death of an auto-pedestrian in the 13500 Beechnut block of Eldrige Parkway.
A man driving a blue Mazda was on his way to work when he hit a woman who was crossing Beechnut Street, according to the HCSO. The woman died at the scene, police said.
Gonzalez said the driver had a green light. He remained at the scene while the police continued their investigation.
The intersection is currently closed.
