Comcast services have been shut down for some businesses and residents in Oakland after multiple shots were fired that damaged fiber, the company said Sunday.
Technicians directly observed the impact of several bullets, Comcast said, and their crews immediately set about restoring service.
“Comcast sincerely apologizes for the service disruption. We understand this is a painful inconvenience and want to assure you that our teams are committed to restoring your services as quickly and safely as possible,” Comcast said in a statement.
Comcast is the parent company of NBC Bay Area and NBCUniversal.
