Military personnel say a man walking down I-75 was fatally shot in Marion County.

MARION COUNTY, Florida. A pedestrian walking on the southern lanes of Interstate 75 was hit early Monday in Marion County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A red Ford Mustang was driving south on I-75 around 1:50 a.m. when a man stood in its path near mile marker 362, the soldiers said.

According to the crash report, the Mustang collided with a pedestrian, killing a man.
The man was not identified by the FHP.
The Mustang driver and passenger were not injured in the crash, police said.
