14-year-old boy cuts himself with a knife during a fight over a bump on a train in New York
A 14-year-old boy was stabbed during a fight with a man who ran into him at a train station in Brooklyn this week, police said.
The teen was exiting a southbound L train at Jefferson Street and Wyckoff Avenue in Bushwick around 3:00 p.m. Tuesday when another man collided with him at the exit, authorities said.
The blow provoked a clash that escalated into a fight, with a man slashing the teenager’s left arm with an orange-handled knife, police said.
The suspect then fled, police said.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where his cut wound was treated and released.
Police released CCTV footage and photographs of the suspect late Thursday evening.
He is about 25 years old, fair-skinned, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 165 pounds, with a medium build and short dark hair.
He was last seen wearing a dark hooded jacket, dark knitted hat, light-colored pants, and brown boots.
