38-year-old woman from New York is found dead in the toilet with a bag over her head: police

A 38-year-old woman was found dead in a Brooklyn community center restroom with a bag over her head on Monday in what the NYPD considers “suspicious.”

The woman was found unconscious and out of breath at Housing Works East New York Medical Center in East New York around 10:30 am, police said.

“We consider this suspicious,” an NYPD spokesman said of the woman’s death.

The cause of death will be determined by the city medical examiner.

The person who answered the call at the center, which provides medical and drug treatment services, declined to comment on Monday afternoon.
