2. Alarming fire in the town of Ewing

EWING TOWNSHIP, New Jersey (MERCER). Just after 11:00 a.m., all Ewing Township fire departments, including the Mercer County Airport Fire Department, were dispatched to Block 300 Scotch Road in Maintenance Building 10 due to roof fire reports from 9-1. -1 caller. Airport firefighters arriving reported seeing smoke from all over the airport and triggered the first alarm by sending additional equipment to the scene. Upon arrival, the fire department at Airport No. 34 reported a fire on the roof and Alert 2 was declared. Engine 34 quickly put out the bulk of the fire with a boom on the engine, and several hoses were extended to the building to put out the rest of the fire.

Firefighters are still on site fighting the blaze, and numerous nearby departments have been called to the scene or to cover the campus.

The command reported a ceasefire at 11:48.
