16-year-old boy shot dead at high school party in northwestern Harris County, sheriff says

A tragic incident occurred in Harris County, Texas, resulting in the death of a 16-year-old boy. According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, Isaac Zetino lost his life after a shooting erupted outside a residence where a high school party was taking place. The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Reports suggest that Zetino and another boy at the party had a disagreement with the father of a girl who was also in attendance. Shortly after 1:30 a.m., the teens and their fathers drew their weapons and started shooting at each other.

Sadly, Zetino was struck multiple times, leading to his untimely death. While detectives have interviewed fifteen witnesses, many guests fled the scene before police arrived. The investigation is still ongoing, and no charges have been filed as of yet.

The father responsible for firing the fatal shots claims that he acted in self-defense. Detectives at the scene confirmed that they found evidence supporting his version of events. However, this incident’s gravity cannot be ignored, and the case will be presented to a grand jury once the investigation is concluded.

Zetino was known to be a friend of the girl hosting the party. Reports suggest that up to a hundred people were in attendance at the party, which was taking place in a home on Majesticbrook Drive near West Road in northwest Harris County.

This unfortunate event is a grim reminder of the importance of taking adequate precautions when hosting social gatherings. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has urged the public to be vigilant and stay safe while attending parties and other social events. Our hearts go out to Zetino’s family and loved ones in this moment of grief and mourning.
