10 people, including 4 children, hospitalized due to carbon monoxide in Long Island home

About a dozen people, including four children, were hospitalized due to a carbon monoxide leak at a Long Island home, county officials said.

The incident took place at a house in East Meadow on Monday evening. The fire department responded to an 911 call after carbon monoxide detectors went off inside and people inside felt unwell.

According to officials, six adults and four children were taken away by an ambulance. All are expected to recover.

The source of the carbon monoxide leak is under investigation.
